Real Wood Works Giveaway
Real Wood Works
Please meet Sherry and G.R. of Real Wood Works! These talented folks handcraft sustainable green products from “rescued” trees, re-purposed wood, and other found materials that lend themselves to a new function. Their pieces emerge from the forest and watershed restoration projects undertaken in the pine-scented mountains of South Central New Mexico.
Furniture tree stump tables, tree slice cutting boards, cake stands, tray & trivet servers, coffee tables, nightstands, organic eco reclaimed wood home decor, all recycled and green. And many of which lend perfectly to the addition of personalized imprint monograms.
“When we’re not in the woods, at a creek, river, or urban property setting, we are in the wood shop where we fashion functional, one-of-a-kind items for your home, garden, and/or business. The possibilities are endless for the many creative ways that real wood works. Join us in our rescue efforts by “adopting” one of our unique stumps, benches, mantles, or tables!”

Real Wood Works – Tree Slice Cake Stand Giveaway
This week’s giveaway is this beautiful cake stand is fashioned from reclaimed wood from riparian restoration after a flood in Lincoln County, NM (one time home to the infamous Billy the Kid). The landowner was so relieved to have the tree made into something special! Real Wood Works kiln dried, cleaned, leveled and polished the tops of these fabulous pedestals. It has a wonderful movement and the top end grains have an interesting depth. It’s almost as though one can see into the tree. Naturally occurring in this species of wood – the crimson “spalting” is eye catching to say the least! You’ll be telling their story over and over again to all who see them! Dimensions: Top surface: 11″ x 11 3/4″; Height: 2 7/8″. Retail Value $65.
