I’d like to introduce you to Kari from The Crumb Cupboard. On a quest to find herself the perfect cake stand, Kari realized what she was looking for didn’t exist. “So I started making one. Then, I had so much fun searching for plates and stands at estate sales, thrifts stores and vintage stores near and far that I decided I could open a shop.” Luckily the 1940s bungalow she and her sister share in Fullerton, California has a den big enough to house all her supplies! Kari has drawn much of her inspiration from the lively art culture in Fullerton and her connection to the creative people in the community.
Recently, The Crumb Cupboard set up shop in a local flea market in town. Kari even inspired her sister and neighbor to join her with their creative home goods.
The Crumb Cupboard’s Cake Stands are the perfect combination beauty and a tribute to a bygone era. All Kari’s pieces are created from her “finds” at flea markets, second hand stores, antique malls, and estate sales. The end result is beautiful pieces the exude character and charm!
